An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager at our Tullamarine branch. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll work closely with our experienced account management team to drive customer success across our freight and logistics network.
Your role will be to strengthen long-term partnerships with key customers in the Retail & FMCG sectors, ensuring retention and growth while delivering solutions that meet the unique needs of the transport industry.
We're seeking someone who can combine strong relationship management with an analytical mindset. You'll be confident presenting to customers, able to communicate clearly, and passionate about improving the customer experience in the transport sector.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9.00 AM start
Key Responsibilities
* Implement, and monitor customer retention and growth strategies across your assigned freight accounts.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions in the CRM system.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across your client portfolio, focusing on the broader supply chain and logistics needs.
* Monitor customer freight volumes and revenue forecasts, reporting variances and trends to internal stakeholders.
* Act as the primary voice of your customer accounts, identifying opportunities for service improvements and innovative transport solutions.
* Champion a seamless customer experience by coordinating with senior stakeholders in accounts, customer service and operations to resolve issues and optimise service delivery.
Skills and Experience
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting quarterly account performance in person and via video calls.
* Analytical and commercially minded, able to interpret customer data and identify opportunities.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of transport services, supply chain operations, and industry developments desirable.
* Experience with the use of CRM systems and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Current motor vehicle licence and car.
