Avon District Support Brigade (ICV) volunteers play an important and vital role during natural and man‑made hazardous incidents. As a driver, you will not only drive the crew to incidents but you will also learn the necessary skills to assist as:
* Mapping Officer
* Communications/Radio Operator
* Operations Support
* Stakeholder Liaison
Volunteers need to have a good level of literacy and numeracy, basic computer skills and be relatively fit and healthy due to manual handling requirements.
Volunteering is an opportunity to become an integral part of our hardworking team and offers benefits such as:
* Learning new skills
* Ongoing training with experienced trainers
* Support and mentoring from experienced members and DFES Staff
* Meeting new people and enjoying the company of like‑minded people
