Responsibilities
* Provide safe, effective and appropriate care in a patient-focused ambulatory care environment.
* Work across the Medical Centre, Radiation Oncology and Day Treatment Centre as required.
* Be experienced in an acute care setting, participate in professional development and training, with an interest in cancer care.
Duties
* Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patients.
* Ensure timely, complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress in medical records and communicate with team members.
* Plan appropriate care in consultation with patient and multidisciplinary team.
* Identify and implement discharge planning requirements.
* Prioritise and implement planned care to achieve expected outcomes.
* Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions as required.
* Operate in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice.

About You / Qualifications
* Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 12 months recent experience in cancer nursing or an acute care setting.
* Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing or willingness to work towards.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and in periods of high demand.
* Demonstrated computer literacy.
* Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to personal and professional development.
