Our organisation is seeking a skilled professional to play a vital role in promoting Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships at the local level. As an Apprenticeship Consultant, you will work closely with employers, apprentices and stakeholders to navigate the apprenticeship framework and potential incentives.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for helping people and experience in building relations across a diverse client pool. You will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, and provide impartial, current and personalised advice to clients.
We are looking for someone who has a strong network and connections with their local community, proven capacity to meet set targets and business development opportunities, high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Be a passionate advocate for promotion of Australian Apprenticeships as a career pathway
* Complete sign-up inductions with Employers and Australian Apprentices
* Build relationships with key stakeholders within the region to encourage commencement, retention and completion of Australian Apprenticeships
* Develop and maintain strong industry links and stakeholder engagement with employers, Registered Training Organisations, Schools and other stakeholders
This position also involves engaging with schools to boost awareness and participation in Australian School Based Apprenticeships through targeted school visits, career expos, and providing expert careers advice to potential school based apprentices and their parents.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A strong understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system and VET sector
* Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to clients
* Strong computer and administration skills
* Ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders and promote services
