Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in Wee Waa, NSW. You will support adults with disabilities to develop daily routines, strengthen life skills, and participate in community activities — all while promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support participants to build daily living and personal management skills.
- Encourage communication, goal-setting, and engagement with local services.
- Provide executive-function and organisational support to help structure daily tasks.
- Promote social inclusion and community participation in safe, positive ways.
- Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and goal-progress documentation.
- Follow The Well Team's policies on safety, privacy, and professional boundaries.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Prior NDIS or disability support experience preferred but not essential.
Empathy & Professionalism: Respectful, patient, and consistent approach to care.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with strong communication skills.
Commitment to Safety: Understanding of WHS, infection control, and incident reporting.
Schedule & Hours
Approx. hours per week: hours per week.
Flexible scheduling based on participant needs and availability.
Opportunities to increase hours as caseload grows.
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (current and valid) – mandatory
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) – mandatory
- Current First Aid and CPR certification – mandatory
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination status declared – mandatory
- National Police Check – mandatory
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle – preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of WHS practices and reporting procedures
