In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of efficient, accurate and timely recruitment services, ensuring leaders receive high‐quality support across the full talent acquisition lifecycle. Your new role
As the Talent Acquisition Officer, you will:
* Manage end‐to‐end recruitment across diverse roles, including advertising, campaign planning, candidate communication, interview coordination, panel participation, reference checks, pre‐employment screening and onboarding support.
* Deliver recruitment training and guidance to key staff.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide tailored recruitment advice aligned with organisational priorities.
* Maintain accurate recruitment records in the HRIS and prepare reports, metrics and analysis on recruitment activity.
* Support continuous improvement by reviewing processes and recommending enhancements.
* Contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives, HR projects and administrative support.
* Work collaboratively within a multi‐skilled team to deliver consistent, customer-focused services.
* Uphold safety standards and positive WHS practices.
* Assist with business continuity during unplanned disruptions or events.
What you'll need to succeed

We're looking for someone who brings:
* Demonstrated experience managing end‐to‐end recruitment processes
* Experience interpreting legislation, industrial instruments and recruitment governance requirements
* Strong interviewing capability and well-developed assessment skills
* High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate and manage sensitive matters with professionalism
* Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement
* Certificate IV in Human Resources or equivalent qualification
* Extensive experience in internal or external recruitment, ideally within a large or complex organisation
* Desirable: Experience in local government, HR qualifications (Cert/Diploma), and previous exposure to WHS compliance practices
