We are looking for an experienced and passionate butcher to join our team. Role: As a Butcher at Fine Cut Meats, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team, offering high-quality products and a great customer experience. Your expertise in meat preparation and cutting will be essential in delivering the finest cuts of meat for our customers. Responsibilities: Cutting, trimming, boning, and slicing various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to customer specifications and product requirements. Ensuring workspaces, tools, and equipment comply with food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination. Assisting customers by providing product recommendations, preparing custom orders, and offering advice on meat selection, cooking, and storage. Safely and efficiently using specialized meat processing equipment, such as grinders, slicers, and bandsaws, while performing routine maintenance and ensuring proper functionality. Monitoring stock levels, rotating products to ensure freshness, and minimizing waste through effective inventory control practices. Following health and safety standards in the handling, preparation, storage, and display of meat products. Restocking shelves, arranging meat displays attractively, and assisting in the overall organization of the store environment. Qualifications: Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role (minimum 1-2 years preferred). Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
