The role
The Manager is responsible for overseeing DSDS's financial operations, services, and programs. This role ensures effective leadership, strategic planning, contract management, compliance, and operational efficiency, to achieve DSDS's broader mission and objectives. The position requires strong and effective management and leadership skills, and ability to work effectively with the DSDS Board of Management.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting on and maintaining financial sustainability and records management.
* Manage DSDS programs, ensuring quality service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement processes.
* Identify and pursue funding opportunities through grants and fee-for-service activities to support organisational growth and sustainability, in consultation with the DSDS Board.
* Ensure the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems to facilitate organisational effectiveness.
* Manage DSDS compliance with internal procedures, contractual requirements with funding bodies, and any relevant legislation.
* Lead, supervise and support staff to foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
* Represent DSDS in external forums, meetings, and community events to enhance the organisation's profile.
* Provide updates, performance reports, and advice to the DSDS Board.
