Job Title: Assistant Electorate Officer
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Electorate Officer. The successful candidate will work closely with the Electorate Officer and Member of Parliament to support their duties and engage with the community within the Mackay Electorate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a busy inbox, responding and triaging emails in a timely manner.
* Assist in the administrative operation of the Mackay Electorate Office.
* Support the Electorate Officer in their daily tasks.
* Liaise with constituents who contact the office for information and assistance.
* Manage social media requirements and create online communications such as eNewsletters.
* Engage with community groups and attend after-hours events when necessary.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
* Proficiency in Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience with digital graphics tools and website monitoring.
