Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator for John Flynn Place. What We Offer
* Full Time- 12 months employment contract- Level 4-5 ( QLG Industry - Stream A) -$77,000–$86,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + Superannuation.
* 5 weeks Annual Leave (with 17.5% Leave Loading)
* Monthly RDO (13 per year)

* Remote Area Housing Assistance ($60 pw Renting / $90 pw Homeowner)

What You'll Do
As the John Flynn Place Coordinator, you will:
* Oversee daily operations of the museum, delivering outstanding customer service to visitors.
* Manage exhibitions, collections, and special events, including developing annual exhibition calendars.
* Coordinate and support staff and volunteers across customer service, sales, and tourism services.
* Lead promotional activities, school and group programs, and cultural events to enhance visitor engagement.
* Develop and implement policies, business plans, and marketing strategies to ensure the museum's growth and sustainability.
* Represent Council on the Friends of John Flynn Place Committee and collaborate with regional museums, galleries, and tourism partners.
* Provide support with Community Development event and activities.
What You Bring
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the public, schools, community groups, and stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage projects, budgets, and exhibitions.
* Customer service skills, including conflict resolution and promoting cultural/tourism experiences.
* Competence with Microsoft Office applications, POS systems, and basic administration tasks.
* Supervisory experience to guide casual staff and volunteers effectively.
* A genuine interest in tourism, history, and cultural development.
Desirable
* Qualifications in Tourism, Museum Services, Arts Management, Humanities, or Education, or equivalent industry experience.
* Knowledge of Cloncurry's history, tourism, and cultural environment.
* Experience in grant applications, sponsorship, or developing business and marketing strategies.
Mandatory Requirements
* Current Police Clearance.
* Positive Notice Working with Children Blue Card.
* Unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
