About Bass Coast Health

On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing current training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

Mandatory Requirements

- Entitlement to work within Australia
- A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
- Provision of valid Working with Children Check
- Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
- Registered Nurse (RN) holding current practising certificate with NMBA
- Emergency Department – Skills required or to be working towards
- Advanced Life Support (within 6 months)
- Cannulation (within 1 month)
- Triage (within 1 month)

Desirable

- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Good written and oral communication
- Ability to function as a team member
- Willingness to develop both professionally and personally with further education
