Our client delivers Mental Health Practitioner training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners across Victoria.
We are seeking qualified Educators to train and assess within Alcohol & Other Drugs, and/or Mental Health Certificate IV & Diploma level qualifications.
Experience in delivering to a Koori cohort is preferred, as all training is culturally appropriate.
The learning setting is designed as one-week blocks per month for each course; with classroom sessions making up 3 days per week and preparation, student 1:1 and assignment marking 2 days per week. To further assist you in this role, the delivery model includes Aboriginal Student Mentors in the classroom, who serve as additional support for the learners. This also results in high completion rates and positive outcomes.
You will also enjoy regional travel opportunities to deliver training and develop relationships with various community health organisations.
We seek Expressions of Interest from Victorian-based Trainers holding current TAE qualifications, industry experience in the qualification to be delivered, and life experience working with, supporting and educating First Nations people.
