Where are we based?
The office of Live Well OT is based in the regional centre of Albury, which is on the border between NSW & Victoria.

What clients do we assist at Live Well OT?
We offer OT and Allied Health Assistant services to adult clients under a variety of funding streams including but not limited to Support at Home Packages, DVA, NDIS, TAC, Workcover and DSOA.
What is our catchment?
Covering an hour and a half radius from Albury on both sides of the border means an opportunity to see our wonderful countryside. We have established referrers and caseloads in Wangaratta, Benalla, Yarrawonga, Rutherglen, Holbrook, Beechworth and surrounds.
What does the Albury Wodonga region have to offer someone living here?
Our region has numerous mountains nearby for hiking, snow skiing, mountain bike riding, paragliding; lakes & rivers for kayaking, swimming and waterskiing; wineries, breweries and distilleries galore; creative arts are plenty; great food options of all cuisines and so much more. Being a major regional centre, we have all your shopping needs covered. It's also really easy to have weekend city escapes to either Melbourne, Canberra or Sydney.
What kind of work would the OT be doing?
On any given day you may be completing a home assessment to review a clients function in their home environment; scripting a custom manual wheelchair; reviewing a clients cognition for suitability for driving a powered mobility device in a residential aged care facility; educating support workers on manual handling strategies for your client; supporting a client to learn to use public transport so they can get to work; determining the best strategies for optimising the healing of a pressure injury; determining the best assistive technology to help someone return to a much loved activity such as cooking or playing the violin; plus so much more.
What EFT is the role?
We offer a variety of work arrangements to suit you from full time, part time or casual - however the shoe fits for you and how you want to live your life.
Can I work from home?
If you want to work from home, then this is an option too - our client systems and all our meetings have online access to help you stay connected.
Is there any professional development offered within the role?
Professional development, ensuring evidenced based practice and ongoing quality improvement of our service is of upmost importance for us. We have a fortnightly journal club session, minimum monthly in-house PD sessions and support for attending external PD that aligns with team and individual goals.
What support is available?
Efficiency in our work tasks, ensuring the team are validated with their clinical decision making and that work challenges remain at work is paramount for us, therefore twice daily team catch-ups are completed as just one of the many strategies to support our team. One on one supervision is also scheduled with each member of the team at a frequency that suits the individual. We have dedicated team days for completing our mandatory competencies and QI initiatives.
Who else is in the Live Well OT team?
We have a wonderful Allied Health Assistant as well as Administration extraordinaire who take much of the admin and accounting burden away from the OTs, so they can focus on client work. From completing trials, chasing up quotes, carrying out daily living skills programs, doing the groundwork research for those hard-to-find items of AT, our AHA has it sorted for you.
What about technology and vehicles?
All team members receive a laptop or PC, iPad and mobile phone. The team have access to a fleet of cars located at the office for attending client appointments.
What are the position requirements?
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Current driver's license
* Working with Children Check (Vic & NSW) (or ability to obtain before commencement)
* National Police Check (or ability to obtain before commencement)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain before commencement)
* Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or ability to obtain before starting clinical work)
* 2 years post graduate experience preferred however exceptions can be considered.
* Up to date vaccinations inclusive of Covid & Influenza (or have an approved medical contraindication certificate)
Desirable experience:
* Experience with Support at Home, NDIS or DVA funding streams
