Electrical Maintenance Technician Role
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance processes. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be involved in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on all aspects of rolling stock, testing and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and electronic components, and inspecting bodywork and undercarriages for wear and tear or damage.
* Maintaining the efficiency of maintenance operations to meet production plan requirements.
* Conducting repairs, tests and diagnoses of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, including HVAC systems.
* Identifying and rectifying faults using electrical and mechanical schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspecting bodywork, roofs and undercarriages for signs of wear and damage.
* Repairing or replacing faulty parts.
* Carrying out regular checks on brakes and couplings.
* Dismantling, testing and reassembling mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
Additional responsibilities include recording material movements, maintaining a safe working environment by complying with health and safety legislative requirements, and performing additional tasks as necessary.
