Community Solutions are proud to be partnering with Cassowary Coast Regional Council & are currently seeking talent as part of the council's annual traineeship & Apprenticeship program. The successful Trainee will provides administrative support to the Payroll and Accounts Payable teams while undertaking structured on-the-job training. Under supervision, the trainee assists with payroll and accounts payable processes, develops financial administration skills, ensures accuracy and compliance while completing a Certificate III in Business Administration.

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

* Provide assistance with payroll processing tasks under supervision, including data entry, reviewing timesheets, and performing basic payroll administration duties
* Support accounts payable functions by assisting with invoice processing, receipting, and reconciliation in line with established procedures.
* Carry out data entry and administrative responsibilities with precision and strong attention to detail
* Assist in addressing payroll and accounts payable enquiries, ensuring timely responses and escalating issues when necessary.

Requirements:

* Secondary school education to Year 10 standard
* Computer skills and ability in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
* Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong focus on quality of work whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
* Drivers Licence
* Can provide two work or school related references.
* Successful candidates will be required to pass a national police check, an aptitude test; pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
