TheOpportunity
Weare l ooking for anenthusiastic and collaborative person to join our CommunityDevelopment Team in Kununurra to play a critical leadership role inempowering, supporting and connecting sporting and community clubsacross the Shire. With the 'Club Development Officer' rolededicated to building the governance, operational, volunteer andstrategic capacity of local clubs, while also facilitatingnetworks, enabling new club formation, and enhancing collaborationbetween clubs, associations, agencies and communities, the roleincumbent has a massive potential to make a real difference to thelocal community.
The primary objectives
of the positions are outinedbelow, with day-to-day responsibilities expanded upon within the relevant postion description:
Work strategically with clubs, community groups, service providers and governmentagencies to facilitate and support the delivery of community,sport and recreation services, programs, events andfacilities.
Develop strategiesimprove the capacity, viability, and sustainability of localcommunity, sporting and recreation clubs andassociations
Assist with the strategic development of community and sport outcomes withinthe Shire and provide input and guidance to the future planningof facilities and services.
Manage the Shire'sCommunity Funding Program.
Adegree level qualification in Community Development, Sport andRecreation, Governance, or a related field; or a diploma in one ofthese disciplines accompanied by a minimum of three years'relevant experience, current WA Working with Children Check and acurrent unrestricted WA 'C' Class Driver's Licence areessential for this role.
