Accounts Payable Officer (Part-Time)

About the Role
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you'll be responsible for managing the full accounts payable process - from invoice entry to payment and reconciliation. You'll work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to maintain compliance, accuracy, and smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process subcontractor and supplier invoices, credit card payments, and reimbursements.
Prepare and process fortnightly and monthly payment runs.
Reconcile supplier statements and manage end-of-month reporting.
Handle retention, back charges, and provisional sums, ensuring teams are notified when allowances are exceeded.
Onboard new suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining licences, insurances, and compliance documentation.
Track and report on vehicle, mobile, and company expenses.
Assist with systems such as Databuild and Filebound.
Follow up on pending invoice approvals to ensure timely payments.
About You
Minimum 1 year in an accounts or administration role (construction experience highly regarded).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to work independently.
Basic accounting knowledge and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting) advantageous but not essential.
