About the Role

As a seasoned civil supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day civil construction activities on water and wastewater projects.
The successful candidate will ensure all works comply with UGL/TasWater standards, drawings, and relevant codes, maintaining a high level of quality and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and monitor safe work practices in line with WHS regulations and project safety plans, ensuring contractors and crews maintain a safe working environment.
* Inspect and verify civil works (pipelines, structures, earthworks, etc) to ensure quality, workmanship and materials meet project specifications and requirements.
* Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and representatives to coordinate works, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication.
* Monitor construction progress against schedules, identify risks or delays, and provide accurate reporting and documentation to the project team.
Requirements
* Previous experience supervising civil construction works (preferably in water or utilities)
* Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, standards, and safety practices.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work programs.
* Good communication and leadership skills to manage crews and subcontractors.
* Current drivers licence and relevant safety tickets (e.g. White Card).
