To perform specific laboratory duties in Anatomical Pathology and other departments of the laboratory as required, including the processing of specimens relative to the department.
Ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet service delivery deadlines.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire experience in the correct procedures of specimen processing for the performance of Anatomical Pathology laboratory testing.
- Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire experience in the interpretation of request forms together with the ability to effectively use or learn to use the Pathology Information System (AUSLAB).
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and knowledge of the principles of effective team functioning.
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work conscientiously and accurately with mínimal supervision after careful instruction.
Qualifications, registrations, and other requirements
- In some circumstances and following consultation, Queensland Health staff may be required to participate in 24 hour shift or on-call arrangements
