This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a global organisation listed on the NASDAQ. With operations spanning the US, Ireland, and Australia, this business is known for its dynamic culture, commitment to excellence, and strong governance. Due to a critical reporting period, they are seeking a seasoned Reporting & Audit Leader to join their GEELONG operations on a contract basis.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the external reporting and audit process across multiple jurisdictions. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with PCAOB standards and delivering high-quality statutory reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the year-end audit process and acting as the primary liaison with external auditors
* Managing the reporting timetable to meet deadlines across US, Irish, and Australian entities
* Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and reconciliations
* Supporting the preparation of 20F filings and other statutory reports
* Providing technical accounting advice and drafting accounting papers
* Driving process improvements and supporting ad hoc finance projects
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* CA/CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
* 10+ years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within a listed environment
* Strong audit background, preferably with Big 4 experience
* Exposure to USGAAP and PCAOB audit requirements is highly regarded.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
* Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
