Tourism NT’s role is to increase the desirability of the Northern Territory as a travel destination, inspiring more people to visit, stay longer and spend more in tourism dollars. We develop short and long-term marketing, advertising and technology programs and strategies to support the NT’s Tourism Industry Strategy 2030, which sets out the vision to grow overnight holiday visitor expenditure in the Northern Territory to between $1.46 billion and $1.79 billion by 2030.

Reporting to the Marketing Technology Manager and based in Darwin or Alice, the Performance Marketing Executive will oversee and optimise digital performance to drive awareness and conversion for the Northern Territory (NT) as a leisure travel destination. This role entails analysing marketing activities, managing audience data relationships, preparing strategic documentation, utilising marketing technology platforms, and fostering stakeholder collaborations. With expertise in data-driven insights, audience modelling, and performance marketing, the Performance Marketing Executive will contribute to informed data driven decision‑making and impactful outcomes.

This role will execute Tourism NT’s performance and audience strategy, encompassing securing and managing data partnerships, along with the activation of data to optimise performance in owned, earned and paid media channels.

Therefore, proficiency in data-driven insights, audience modelling, performance marketing, and effective communication is required for this role.

To be considered for this role, you will also have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position. Demonstrated expertise in strategically managing audience data, securing and managing data partnerships, and activating data for peak performance across owned, earned, and paid media channels, and proficiently conveying insights to diverse stakeholders are prerequisites. Proficiency in utilising marketing technology platforms, strong analytical capabilities, and adeptness in dynamic teamwork are essential attributes for success in this role.
