We have a fantastic opportunity to join GOTAFE as an Apprentice Experience & Retention Officer. This role is vital for enhancing the experience of apprentices and trainees from induction through to completion, focusing on their retention and engagement. The Apprentice Experience and Retention officer will collaborate across the organisation and with industry partners to monitor and support apprentice progress, ensuring they receive timely assistance with welfare, wellbeing, workplace, training and other personal issues which may be a barrier to their success. Through proactive communication and coordination, the position contributes to creating a positive, supportive learning journey for apprentices and trainees.
As the successful candidate you will have:
* Ability to develop standardised operations to ensure that apprentices are managed and supported respectfully and consistently.
* Welfare and/or wellbeing experience to support students at risk of disengaging from their studies.
* Administration/business skills to monitor outcomes of training plans, and develop systems to support Apprentices with the Competency Based Completions verification process.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a high level of verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
* Proven ability to build relationships with apprentices, staff, and external partners to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office and other systems to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
* A flexible and creative approach to aligning support activities with operational needs.
* A relevant qualification and/or experience.
If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:
* A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
* A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
* A current Driver's Licence (Car).
The salary range for this position is $76,991-$82,827 under the GOTAFE Enterprise PACCT Agreement 2023.
