We’re Big Fat Smile. A not-for-profit that plays a pivotal role in the lives of thousands of children and families across Australia. Role
Right now, we’re looking for a Cook for our new Stanwell Park Early Learning opening in January 2026. Our 38-place long day care service will provide high-quality education and care for children from birth to five years, operating Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Designed with beautiful, brand new furniture, the centre will provide meaningful learning experiences within the service, whilst our regular excursions to local cafés, beach and bushland will foster a strong connection to community for children, staff and families.
As the Cook, you will prepare healthy, yummy food for children aged 0-5. You'll have the freedom to adapt a menu that caters to the children's pallets while considering healthy food guidelines.
This is a part time position working Monday to Friday - 27 hours per week.

- Plan a menu that support the health and well-being of children aged 0-5
- Prepare nutritious, yummy and age-appropriate meals

What you need to succeed
A current Working with Children Check (this is needed for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW)
- Relevant Qualifications in Menu Planning (or willing to obtain)
- Hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or be willing to obtain one with our support
- Commitment to making sure the children in our care are protected and healthy
- Dedication to improving the lives and minds of children, families, and the community
