About the role
Nova Hair & Body is seeking a talented Senior Hairdresser (3rd/4th yr considered) to join our team in Mount Barker, South Australia. This full-time position (parttime/casual considered) is perfect for an experienced hairstylist who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality hair styling. As a Senior Hairdresser, you will be responsible for cutting, colouring, and styling hair, as well as mentoring junior stylists.
What you'll be doing
* Providing personalised hair services to clients, including cutting, colouring, and styling
* Offering advice and recommendations to clients on the best hairstyles and treatments for their hair type and desired look
* Staying up-to-date with the latest hair trends and techniques, and implementing them in your work
* Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior stylists, sharing your expertise and knowledge
* Maintaining a clean and organised work station, ensuring the salon operates efficiently
* Contributing to the overall success of the salon by providing exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships
What we're looking for
* A minimum of 2-4 years of hairdressing experience, or a completed apprenticeship
* Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring, and styling hair, with a keen eye for detail
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
* A creative and innovative approach to hair design, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends
* A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to share your knowledge with junior stylists
* A valid hairdressing qualification
