Mobilize is partnered with a growing Western Australian manufacturer specialising in high-quality rubber products and engineered solutions for the mining, industrial and manufacturing sectors. The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety and reliability of production equipment across the site. Working closely with the production and operations teams, you will carry out preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns and support ongoing improvements to plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out preventative maintenance and attend to machinery breakdowns across the plant
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on a range of production and processing equipment
* Maintain and service machinery such as conveyors, rollers, presses, mixers and other manufacturing equipment
* Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation
* Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
* Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and modifications when required
* Maintain accurate maintenance records while ensuring all work follows workplace health and safety procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
* Trade-qualified as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
* Experience in manufacturing or production environments
* Skilled at diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues
* Familiar with machinery, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
* Can work independently and take responsibility for equipment
* Committed to safety and quality work
* Good team player with clear communication skills
