Creative Design and Content Specialist
Fixed-term (12 months) | Full-time (1.0 FTE)

The Publications and Design Coordinator is a creative and dynamic role responsible for shaping how The Geelong College communicates its story across print and digital platforms.
Working within the Community Relations team, the successful applicant will lead the design and production of a wide range of College communications, publications and marketing materials. From major publications such as Ad Astra magazine to campaign collateral, digital content, signage, event materials and day-to-day brand communications, this role plays an important part in presenting the College with clarity, creativity and consistency.
This is a fast-paced and varied role suited to a highly organised and creative professional with strong graphic design capability, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role also requires exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to write original copy and long-form content, edit and refine contributed content and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders across the College community.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Communications, Marketing or a related field
* Demonstrated experience producing high-quality graphic design, publications and communications materials across print and digital platforms
* Strong understanding of visual communication, typography, layout and brand consistenc
* Exceptional written communication skills, including copywriting, storytelling and editorial capability, with strong attention to detail
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience using content management systems to maintain websites and digital platforms
* Experience in photography and image selection for marketing and communications purposes
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
* Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employee status), or ability to obtain
* Have completed the Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations module - The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET)
* Completion of the College anaphylaxis qualification or 22578VIC anaphylaxis qualification
* Provide evidence of the right to work in Australia
