Emergency Communications Officer Role
This is an ongoing full-time or part-time position at Triple Zero Victoria in Ballarat.
About the Role
As an Emergency Communications Officer, you will receive and process emergency and non-emergency triple zero calls from the public and other emergency service agencies. Your day will be unique and rewarding, with every call presenting a new challenge. You will be supported by comprehensive training and a team of experts who are committed to delivering exceptional service to the Victorian community.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will work in a busy environment, using multiple software systems to respond to emergency calls while maintaining high attention to detail.
2. You will communicate effectively, adapting your style to each situation and demonstrating empathy towards callers.
3. You will maintain a calm and resilient composure in stressful situations, prioritizing caller safety and well-being.
4. You will learn quickly, developing your capability and embracing constructive feedback to improve your performance.
