Position Summary
We are seeking a self-driven and skilled Technical Business Analyst with proven experience in large scale enterprise data migration projects. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a deep understanding of complex data ecosystems. The ideal candidate would play a key role in driving data migration initiatives, documenting intricate data sources, unpacking complex architectures while supporting the delivery of high-value data solutions for the customer.
Mandatory Skills
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in large scale enterprise data migration projects, with exposure in handling customers of varied capacities and data workloads.
* Experienced in technical requirements gathering – user stories grooming and authoring, dataset mapping, analysis of source systems, data lineage tracking and documentation, BPMN flow diagrams, requirements traceability matrix amongst others.
* Strong customer engagement and communication skills to thrive in an evolving customer and data products landscape, to influence customer decisions towards migration objectives amid challenging timelines.
* Working knowledge and experience in Azure Synapse and Databricks analytics platforms and a desired experience in data migration amongst these platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and document complex data sources and guide data architects in deep dive sessions with the customer.
* Experience with effort estimation for data-related migration initiatives
* Hands-on experience with custom SQL datasets and CDC, along with Power BI semantic models and reports – highly desirable
* Solid understanding of SQL and relational data concepts
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with varying priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exposure to Scaled Agile – Ways of working and ceremonies is mandatory, as multiple teams work in an Agile Release Train framework towards a common objective.
Roles And Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for enterprise data platform initiatives
* Conduct deep dives into source data from a variety of systems, identifying key structures, relationships, and transformation needs
* Document complex data sources with clarity and precision to support development and migration efforts
* Document As-Is and To-Be architecture in simple BPMN diagrams and data flow diagrams, maintain documentation in both Confluence and artifacts in Sharepoint
* Maintaining latest updates in ADO tickets for both sprint wise and engagement tasks
* Estimate and quantify effort required for data migrations, including source analysis, mapping, and validation
* Engage with stakeholders across multiple business units, managing competing priorities and aligning expectations
* Engage with multiple teams within the ART towards stages of the preparatory and kick-off activities – data availability, infrastructure, build, testing, release and OCM teams
* Lead and guide customers with Kick-off calls and own and manage the RACI relationships among teams towards successful completion of migration for the data customers
* Work with custom SQL datasets and Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms to support dynamic data environments
* Apply a working understanding of SQL to validate data, support analysis, and assist in solution design
* Maintain strong customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparency and alignment
* Assist in Onboarding for new joiners in the team and provide them a comprehensive introduction to the data migration exercise, while guiding them to the respective product owners for specific sessions
* Demonstrate processes in periodic ART Sync meetings and share good practices within the team
* Contribute to all scrum activities for the team in PI Planning, I & A workshops and aid Scrum masters in ad-hoc activities
* Open to evolving landscapes, changing priorities and ad-hoc requests from product owners and program managers.

Salary Range: >$90,000 to $1,05,000
