Our client is a Federal Agency looking for an Assistant Director Research and Evaluation. The Evidence and Practice Leadership Branch is responsible for ensuring that agency policies, practices and priorities are informed by trustworthy and robust evidence. Are you passionate about and have experience in using a range of sophisticated methods including quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate programs and influence decision making? Paying $602.55 per day + 11% Super - assignment for 12 months, possibility of extension based on business needs.
About the Role:
The Assistant Director Research and Evaluation will manage an implementation and effectiveness evaluation of a pilot program for infants showing early behavioural signs of autism in Western Australia (the Inklings Pilot). It will provide detailed technical, skilled, policy and operational management of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with external and internal stakeholders to scope, deliver and govern the evaluation
Collecting and analysing a range of quantitative, qualitative and survey data, including coordinating other members of the Research and Evaluation Branch on such activities
Ensuring the evaluation is conducted in accordance with appropriate guidelines, standards and ethics requirements, and maintaining project related records
Preparing and presenting reports and slide-pack summaries for internal and external stakeholders
Working collaboratively with other teams
Designing and conducting other research projects, including working with people with various types of disabilities and from various cultural backgrounds
Communicate and support the implementation of research findings
About you - essential skills:
Experience in using a range of sophisticated methods including quantitative and qualitative methods and embedding the participant at the heart of the work.
Demonstrated ability to work with external and internal stakeholders to scope, deliver and govern the evaluation.
Demonstrated experience delivering end to end formative and impact evaluations which have informed change
Either an academic or evaluation qualifications (desirable)
Experience designing evaluations and producing evaluation logics (desirable)
