Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Service Operations Director to lead and govern suppliers, manage production support teams, and contribute to business cases to assess investment, risk, and cost control decisions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving supplier partnerships, managing change into the production environment, and enabling partners to overcome roadblocks or issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with project teams to manage change into the production environment in accordance with business and GroupTech strategies.
* Develop a continuing understanding of business strategies, evolving technologies, regulations, legislations, and market changes, with an eye towards how they may impact delivery of the service.
* Lead people, governance, and oversight of partners, driving successful outcomes while ensuring contractual obligations are met, in accordance with Westpac's behaviours and processes.
* Enable partners in overcoming any roadblocks or issue resolution.
* Drive an effective communication framework with partners/vendors/stakeholders, including both formal and informal mechanisms for well-defined interactions.
* Provide stakeholders with timely and relevant operational reporting, communicating on incident, problem, and change, as well as other service management associated activities.


Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Demonstrated experience in leading, governing, and managing suppliers.
* Prior experience leading enterprise-scale production support teams.
* Applied knowledge of ITIL/ITIL Certificate.
* Demonstrated experience contributing to business cases to assess investment, risk, and cost control decisions.
* Proven experience in delivering IT simplification & efficiency improvements.
* Ownership mindset, doing the right thing for the organisation with the ability to influence and adapt to change, taking others on the journey.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholder management at all levels.
* Qualifications in Computer Science or relevant industry-recognised certification.
