Our client is a Government Department who have an urgent requirement for a Facilities & Infrastructure Advisor to be based in the Mackay area. The role will utilise your excellent communication and planning skills in guiding stakeholders across asset management and maintenance issues. Please note this is a part time contract role (25 Hours per week) commencing 10/11/25 until 30/12/26 with potential extension, and will involve frequent travel across the region.
Specifically the position will involve:
* Providing advice to stakeholders, consultancies and management on facilities planning, investment and portfolio operations
* Plan and attend on site meetings to discuss maintenance plans based off Asset Life Cycle Assessments and visual inspections
* Data and budget management and prioritisation of pending works
* Manage and monitor the delivery of the capital works, maintenance and services to meet time and quality standards
* Liaising with business partners to undertake the works and managing subsequent variations and issues
* Providing open communication to client management on progress and timings of works
The ideal candidate will have
* Experience in public sector facilities or maintenance management
* A background in construction or a relevant formal qualification
* Strong administrative and communication skills
* Solutions oriented
* Possess a current Drivers License and Blue Card, or be eligible for one
