About the Role:

The Chief Financial Officer Division is led by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) who reports to the Chief Executive officer of Canberra Health Services. The Division is responsible for the development and maintenance of budgets, financial management, and for providing strong operational finance and performance reporting analysis across the health service.
The Procurement and Supply (P&S) Branch is part of the CFO Division and is accredited with Level 4 – Advanced (Lead Buyer) procurement accreditation and manages CHS procurement requirements including acquisition, inventory management, invoice processing and delivery to hospital wards and other end users. P&S comprises four teams, Procurement Medical Equipment, Procurement Inventory and Services, Supply Chain, and Supply Operations.
This position reports to the Director, Procurement – Medical Equipment Team and is primarily located at the Canberra Hospital. This role will have a strong focus on pathology and medical equipment procurement. We encourage applications from candidates with clinical or pathology experience, as well as those with demonstrated expertise in pathology related procurement.
A merit pool may be established from this process and may be used to fill leave relief placements and other opportunities that arise over the next 12 months.
