Who we're looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our high‐performing delivery team on the Darwin Ship Lift project at East Arm. This role will suit a Foreman with strong technical and people leadership capability who thrives in complex, multi‐discipline environments and enjoys taking ownership of a defined scope.
Working closely with the General Foreman, Project Engineers and subcontractors, you will be responsible for driving safety, productivity, quality and program outcomes across your work front. With a strong pipeline of projects across Queensland and the Northern Territory, this role offers genuine long‐term career progression within BMD.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage a defined FRP / structures work package on a major infrastructure project
* Supervise site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery
* Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to achieve program targets
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, ITPs and quality requirements
* Champion strong health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes on site
* Work collaboratively with Engineers and Supervision to resolve technical and construction challenges
* Drive a high‐performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement
About you
You will be a motivated and capable Foreman with a strong civil construction background and proven experience managing crews and subcontractors on complex projects. You will bring:
* Certificate IV in Civil Construction (or equivalent experience)
* Extensive civil construction experience with demonstrated Foreman‐level supervision
* A strong commitment to safety, environmental and quality outcomes
* The ability to lead teams, build trust and positively influence site culture
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset with a strong focus on program and productivity
* Motivation to deliver value‐for‐money outcomes while maintaining high standards
* Experience managing FRP, structural or marine‐related scopes on major civil or infrastructure projects
* Exposure to complex work packages requiring strong coordination and interface management
