WorkPac Health and Social Care is looking for a passionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in New South Wales.
The Nurse Practitioner role supports the medical management and healthcare of inmates, including advanced patient assessment, diagnosis, prescribing medications, and managing comprehensive health plans.
You will work within Australias largest correctional site, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Personal safety is always prioritised with full support.
About Our Client
Our client manages a large maximum-security prison in the region, housing male inmates with varying security classifications.
The facility is recognized for its modern infrastructure and focus on rehabilitative programs.
What You Will Be Doing
- Promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates
- Perform advanced clinical assessments
- Ensure safety and security of inmates and the community
- Implement and manage patient care plans
- Diagnose and treat acute conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe and manage medication's
What You Will Need
- Current AHPRA Registration
- 4 years post-graduate experience as an RN
- Experience in primary health, rural health, or emergency nursing (desirable)
- Current First Aid and ALS
- COVID vaccination's (Dose 1 and 2 mandatory)
- Primary health /ED /corrections background desirable
- National Criminal History Check (issued within last 3 months)
