About the role
The Workplace Trainer will be responsible for providing training and, where required, assessment activities for all Environmental Services staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and manage partnerships with external training providers and internal subject matter experts to deliver relevant, high-quality training and assessment programs.
* Analyse training needs and assessment outcomes to recommend appropriate learning solutions and delivery methods.
* Design, implement and facilitate compliant, industry-aligned learning programs that support continuous improvement in workplace practice.
* Develop and maintain resource networks to support employee career pathways, future training opportunities and workforce development.
* Ensure compliance with OH&S policies, procedures and legislative requirements, including maintaining up-to-date mandatory training.
* Identify, report and support the management of incidents and hazards, contributing to the planning and implementation of workplace health and safety measures.
What we’re looking for
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or working towards, with a current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Food Handlers Certificate.
* High-level computer proficiency and strong administrative, organisational and documentation skills.
* Well-developed presentation, communication and consultation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
* Strong empathy, cultural awareness and a service-oriented approach, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality.
* Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads independently and within a team.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
