Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are currently seeking to appoint aFamily Counsellor to work as a part of our UnitingCare Qld Parenting Support Program based in the Sunshine Coast on a max term contract to 29 September 2025 on a part time basis of 4 days per week.
This position assists parents and carers to develop and strengthen their understanding and skills in the areas of parenting attachment, family relationship enhancement and children's behavioural management incorporating case planning.
What makes a difference for us?
You will need sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to utilise therapeutic processes and practices particularly in relation to children and families at risk. You will be able to work within frameworks and practices that are strength based and recovery focused.
In addition to the above you will also be required to have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services field and demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through substantial experience working with children and families.
Current Drivers Licence.
