Facilitator Opportunity

About Australian Healthcare Associates (AHA)

We have secured the contract to assist the Victorian Government Department of Education to deliver the Disability Inclusion Profile to all Victorian government schools.

The Role

Deliver the profile in the Inner Gippsland area as part of a team of experienced professionals who will visit schools to facilitate Disability Inclusion Profile meetings.

Requirements

* Background in Inclusive Education
* At least 5 years of experience working with children with additional needs, their families, and their school

You will receive extensive training and development activities, including regular shadowing, initial training, ongoing training, quality improvement days, and continuing professional support.

Comprehensive training and support in the conduct of Disability Inclusion Profiles will be provided.

Work from your home base and visit schools to facilitate meetings. Flexible working arrangements and opportunities for work time to be aligned with Victorian school terms are offered.

About You

* Qualifications as a Teacher
* Current VIT registration
* 5+ years of experience working in/with schools
* Extensive knowledge of child development, disabilities or learning challenges that students may experience
* Strong understanding of the principles of inclusion in education
* Understanding of a strengths-based approach
* Experience in group facilitation
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to write concise and accurate reports
* Excellent time management skills
* Intermediate computer skills
* Valid Australian driver license and reliable own car – required for travel
