About The Role We’re seeking an experienced HR/IR Manager to join our high-performing team on the newly awarded Perth Airport Project. This pivotal role will lead all human resources and industrial relations functions for the project, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive workforce culture, and supporting operational success. You’ll work closely with project leadership and site teams to deliver strategic HR and IR outcomes aligned with BMD’s values and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement HR and IR strategies tailored to project requirements. Manage employee relations, including dispute resolution and performance management. Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding for project personnel. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, enterprise agreements, and company policies. Provide guidance on industrial relations matters, including negotiations and union engagement. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion. Maintain accurate HR records and reporting for governance and audit purposes. Support leadership with advice on organisational development and change management. What You’ll Bring Proven experience as an HR Manager within the construction or infrastructure sector. Strong understanding of industrial relations frameworks and enterprise agreements. Demonstrated ability to manage HR functions on large-scale projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive matters. Experience with tier 1 or tier 2 contractors. Familiarity with HRIS systems and project-based workforce management tools. Knowledge of WHS and compliance requirements in civil construction.
