Who you are
You are a passionate educator and digital media analytics professional who thrives on empowering students to understand and harness data-driven insights. You combine strong discipline knowledge with hands-on experience in digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, social media analytics, data visualisation platforms, and emerging technologies.
You have a reflective and engaged approach to teaching and seek to continuously develop your scholarly practice. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, supporting student success, and contributing to a dynamic learning environment that prioritises employability, inclusion, and innovation.
What you'll do
As a Lecturer (Digital Media Analyst), you will:
* Deliver high-quality and engaging teaching within communication, media analytics, and related discipline areas.
* Develop innovative learning experiences that integrate contemporary digital tools, analytical methods, and best-practice teaching approaches.
* Contribute to scholarly teaching through critical reflection, evidence-based practice, and ongoing development of your professional expertise.
* Support School and program-level initiatives to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
* Participate in service activities including committee participation, community engagement, and contributions to professional associations.
* Build strong links with industry and help promote the School's programs through partnerships and professional networks.
* Maintain currency in emerging trends across digital communication, analytics, social media insights, and strategic communication practice.
This role reports to the Head of School and Dean (Humanities and Communication) and will work closely with associated discipline leads, program directors, and academic colleagues.
What will help you succeed
We are seeking a candidate who:
* Holds a doctoral or master's qualification, or equivalent industry experience aligned with the discipline.
* Brings professional experience in media analytics, digital marketing, strategic communications, or related data-driven roles.
* Has experience teaching or supporting learning in areas such as:social network analysis
audience measurement and insights
data visualisation
analytics techniques and tools
public relations, marketing, advertising, or journalism
* Demonstrates a student-centred teaching approach informed by scholarly practice.
* Has strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and engage constructively across teams.
