About the Role
We are supporting a leading international renewable energy services provider in the search for an experienced Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Manager to oversee the implementation, development, and maintenance of QHSE systems across Australian operations.
This role plays a key part in driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with international standards (ISO ****, ISO *****, ISO *****), and supporting performance excellence throughout all stages of renewable energy projects from design and construction to operations and maintenance.
The position can be based in Sydney / Brisbane / Melbourne and will include regular site visits to support field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continuously improve QHSE management systems, policies, and procedures in line with ISO standards and Australian regulations.
Lead the delivery of safe systems of work and embed a strong behavioural-based safety culture across all operations.
Conduct internal and external QHSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Prepare QHSE documentation for projects and clients in collaboration with operational teams.
Deliver training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to enhance safety performance and compliance.
Support incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root-cause analysis and improvement actions.
Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Liaise with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company and legislative requirements.
Represent the business in QHSE committees, client meetings, and industry forums.
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent qualification.
Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related discipline.
5-7 years' experience in a QHSE leadership role within the renewable energy, electrical, or construction sectors.
Strong understanding of Australian OHS, environmental, and quality management legislation.
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining ISO-certified management systems.
Skilled in conducting audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Current Australian driver's licence and White Card.
