About This Opportunity
As a Library Assistant, you will provide frontline customer service and support the day-to-day operations of Council's libraries.
Key Responsibilities Include
Delivering friendly, professional customer service to library members and visitors Assisting with borrowing, returns, reservations and basic enquiries Shelving, processing and maintaining library collections Supporting library programs, events and activities Maintaining a safe, tidy and welcoming library environment
This is a casual pool position, with shifts offered on an as-needed basis across Council's library locations.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Experience delivering high - quality customer service in a public - facing role Well - developed communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Basic computer literacy and confidence using digital systems Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings Previous library experience is desirable but not essential. QLD C Class Drivers Licence PAID QLD Working with Children Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.
