What You'll Be Doing
* Maintain and repair Vermeer equipment, including diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults on trenchers, horizontal directional drills, chippers, grinders, and vacuum excavators.
* Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and major repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
* Use diagnostic software, service manuals, and schematics to accurately fault‐find and resolve complex issues.
* Repair and rebuild components, including pumps, motors, hoses, drivetrains, and wear parts.
* Complete service documentation and inspections to support quality workmanship and safe operation.
You'll also:
* Deliver reliable, high‐quality repairs that exceed customer expectations.
* Contribute to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement within the workshop.
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, mechanical, or plant technician.
* Practical skills in hydraulics, mechanical systems, and machinery repair.
* Confidence reading service manuals, diagnostics, and technical drawings.
* Safety‐focused, solutions‐driven, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
* Team‐orientated and takes ownership of tasks.
* Relevant trade qualifications, licences, or certifications (e.g. diesel mechanic, fitter, heavy vehicle) are highly regarded.
* Specific requirements will be discussed during the recruitment process.
