The Director of Clinical Governance provides strategic leadership for Quality, Safety and Patient Experience across CHHHS, leading a multi‑professional team and ensuring a coordinated, evidence‑based and consumer‑centred approach to clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.
About us: Clinical Governance provides strategic leadership and expert advice to drive excellence across CHHHS. Leading a multi‑professional team, the role partners with the Executive Leadership Team, senior leaders, workforce and consumers to deliver an integrated, organisation‑wide approach to clinical governance, quality improvement, accreditation, patient safety and consumer engagement. This position ensures governance systems are contemporary, evidence‑based and consumer‑centred, supporting the delivery of safe, high‑quality healthcare and achievement of CHHHS strategic priorities.
Your opportunity to:
* Provide strategic direction and oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement strategies
* Provide leadership for the prevention and management of clinical incidents and ensure lessons learned are communicated in a timely manner.
* Lead the collection and effective use of health data to guide the strategic and operational planning, facility utilisation and actual service needs of the organisation.
* Promote appropriate and prompt reporting of risks and adverse events reporting, and ensure corrective actions and prevention strategies are implemented.
* Provide sound financial management, contributing to budget performance, remaining cost focused and working within funding limits.
