Overview
Following the successful award of a long-term mining contract, Lucas Total Contract Solutions are chasing an experienced LV Mechanic to work in our onsite maintenance workshop.
The roles will be varied from servicing vehicles and machinery, stock ordering / stores through to assisting varied other trades as needed.
Join our team on a FIFO roster ex Adelaide or Ceduna (depending on your location). Work a 7:7:14 day and night roster that provides the perfect mix of time on-site and time at home.
The project features an outstanding modern camp with a swimming pool, comprehensive sporting facilities, multiple gyms, a wet mess, and all accommodation rooms equipped with both Wi-Fi and Foxtel.
What we are looking for
* Australian recognised light vehicle trade certificate
* HR License – highly desired
* Current Working at Heights
* Willing and able to assist with maintenance on mining fleet
* Experience working on varied machines from light vehicles to pumps, generators, lighting plants and small trucks
Overview of duties
* Perform regular light vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs including engine, suspension, transmission, clutch, brakes, timing belt/chain replacement, A/C and cooling system repairs etc.
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
* Team player with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Maintain stock levels of parts and re-order if necessary.
* Complete planned maintenance and servicing tasks.
