The role of an Aerospace Medical Specialist plays a pivotal part in supporting Defence personnel with high-quality medical care. This position is based in a modern facility and involves providing medical services, including aviation-based services such as fitness to fly assessments and aircrew clinical health management.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Practitioner to make a positive impact on the lives of Defence personnel. As an Aerospace Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Providing medical services, including aviation-based services such as fitness to fly assessments and aircrew clinical health management.
* Providing medical technical advice to senior officers and unit commanders.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
* FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration.
* Minimum 2 years' full-time (or part-time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years.
* Australian Citizenship – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements.
* Basic military aviation medicine course or equivalent.
