About The Role
In this role you will be part of a growing team that ensures new developments are planned and delivered in accordance with applicable requirements and standards. You will also contribute to the production of innovative and effective policies, plans and practices for the development of our civil infrastructure networks.
You will be required to offer support to on‐site inspectors and be responsible for providing advice to other staff and external customers on various civil infrastructure matters.

Classification: Band 6 Commencing at $95,760 pa plus super
Key responsibilities
* Analyse and evaluate engineering documentation with respect to planning/building permit conditions and other applicable standards and requirements.
* Liaise with land developers, specialist consultants, civil contractors and statutory authorities to provide authoritative advice on the City's standards and requirements.
* Provide planning and building advice on civil infrastructure matters related to transport and drainage.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or several years of relevant experience.
Essential Experience
* The ability to engage and communicate with a diverse range of people and a keen eye for detail.
* An ability to apply engineering principles in examining engineering documentation for subdivisional plans.
* Knowledge of Subdivision Act, Planning and Environment Act, Local Government Act & Water Act.
* Substantial experience in Land Development processes.
* An ability to problem solve and think laterally to come up with innovative solutions to difficult problems.
Preferred Requirements
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
