Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Care Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential care homes.


About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Residential Care Worker to provide 24/7 care, support, and supervision to up to 4 children or young people in a safe and nurturing environment.

* Provide tailored and developmentally appropriate support and activities, together with necessary personal care and transportation.
* Ensure appropriate levels of records and documentation are maintained.
* Maintain a clean and organised home, including meal planning, shopping, cooking, cleaning and washing.

The ideal candidate will have significant residential and therapeutic experience working with children and young people with complex behaviours and trauma backgrounds. They will possess strong knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply CARE and TCI principles, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging family home environment, promoting the development of independent life skills, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children or young people in your care.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide 24/7 care, support, and supervision to up to 4 children or young people.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each child or young person.
* Collaborate with other professionals and services to ensure comprehensive support for the children or young people in your care.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A qualification in a relevant field such as social work, psychology, or education.
* Significant experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
* Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply CARE and TCI principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
