The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax and accounting services while mentoring junior team members and supporting client relationships.
This position is ideal for a technically strong public practice professional who enjoys both client-facing work and team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review complex individual, company, partnership, and trust tax returns
* Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
* Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulatory requirements
* Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Manage the workflow for the team
* Assist with the provision of business advisory and coaching services for clients
About You
* CA qualification (preferred but not required)
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in Australian public practice
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and financial reporting standards
* Proficient in Xero, including Xero Tax
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple client portfolios
* Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
* High level of professionalism and integrity
