Psychologist / Clinician / Counsellor – Mental health Professionals – Federal Government Department – Phillip ACT
ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source three experienced Mental Health Professionals for clinician roles, providing counselling services to veterans. This is a 24‐month contract at APS6 level, full time (37.5 hours a week), though part‐time applicants will be considered.
Salary and Contract Details
* $67.24 – $76.36 per hour + super.
* Government Department role, long‐term contract.
* Open to Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Counsellors.
Duties
* Deliver high‐quality clinical services such as risk assessment, case management, evidence‐based counselling (individual, couple, and family) and referral coordination.
* Review client progress, adjust care plans as needed, and extend episodes of care where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, care plans and session notes.
* Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to maintain registration and best practice.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and senior staff to review and manage complex cases.
* Liaise with family members, treatment providers and other stakeholders to coordinate care and support.
* Contribute to group programmes, psychoeducation, community engagement and service promotion activities.
* Support quality improvement, evaluation and research initiatives, providing feedback to enhance clinical practice and procedures.
Mandatory Requirements
* Qualifications as a registered Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, or
* Qualification as a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) on commencement, or
* A masters‐level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4.
* Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance obtained prior to commencement.
* Must be an Australian citizen at the time of commencement (Federal Government requirement).
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance by completing a pre‐commencement security check (PCSC).
