Kimberley Grande Resort in Kununurra are eagerly seeking an experienced Chef to join our team. You must have at least 2 to 3 years\' experience in a similar role.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
General
* Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain HACCP and cleaning standards.
* Ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Resort premises.
* Ensure communication and actions are always professional
* Obtain a Food Safety Certificate and when required a Food Supervisor\'s Certificate.
Kitchen
* Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
* Ensure the kitchen and equipment is clean on a daily basis.
* Maintain your own delegated place in the kitchen and assist other chefs when required.
* Planning and taking part in promotional events.
* Diffusing tense situations between patrons or staff members
* Create regular menus to suit the clientele.
* Manage and participate in the catering requirements of the bus and function groups.
* Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
* Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste when working.
* Study each recipe and ensure you have all necessary ingredients.
* Cook food in a timely manner for the restaurant.
* Inform wait staff about daily specials.
* Ensure appealing plate presentation.
* Monitor food stock and place orders when required.
* Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
* Suggest new recipes ingredients in consultation with other chefs.
Remuneration - The successful applicant will receive a remuneration of $74,000 - $80,000.
